Pythios Town
Look for the old man NPC inside a home in Pythios Town.
Move Relearner
South Pythios Town
Show him 20 caught Pokemon to unlock his services. He can also teach a variety of tutor-exclusive moves.
Niko
Sofos City quest → Acrisia University
Complete Niko’s quest around Gym 4 to unlock Mega Evolution. Afterwards, Niko runs the Mega Stone Shop at Acrisia University.

Kalami City, Sofos City & Corrin Crossing
The Old Rod comes from Kalami City, the Good Rod from Sofos City, and the Super Rod from Corrin Crossing.
University Students
Most areas with wild Pokemon
Complete the local Pokemon research for a field-study student and show the completed Pokedex entries to receive that area’s reward.
Professor Elia
Progression rewards
Professor Elia gives the DexNav after Gym 2 and is also tied to the EXP Share and several caught-Pokemon milestone rewards.
MOVE RELEARNER
How to unlock the Move Relearner
The Move Relearner is located in the south of Pythios Town. His service is not immediately available: you need to show him that you have caught 20 Pokemon.
Once unlocked, he can help Pokemon relearn moves and can also teach a variety of tutor-exclusive moves.
FISHING
Fishing mechanics and helpful abilities
Fishing in Pokemon Lazarus uses a moving-bar minigame and can also produce Treasure. Each rod has a larger bar than the previous rod and its own encounter pool.

Use a Pokemon with Thief
All Meowth forms and Murkrow learn Thief at around level 20, making them useful choices for farming items from wild Pokemon.
Get the Glimmering Charm
A quest in Sofos City rewards the Glimmering Charm. It increases the odds that wild Pokemon are holding items.
Useful wild held items
The documentation specifically calls out Shards, Heart Scales and Leftovers as useful resources that can be held by wild Pokemon.

How to unlock Mega Evolution
Complete Niko’s quest around Sofos City
The Mega Evolution unlock is tied to Niko’s quest around Gym 4.
Visit Niko at Acrisia University
Niko then hosts a Mega Stone Shop there, with the available selection growing as you continue through the story and defeat more Gyms.
FIELD RESEARCH
How University Students work
University Students appear in most areas with wild Pokemon. Each student is studying the local ecosystem and asks you to fill the relevant Pokedex entries for Pokemon found in that area.
Once the area’s research is complete, show the student your Pokedex to receive the location’s reward.
